There are very few wedding venues that could only exist in Seattle.
The Admiral's House is one of them.
Perched high above Elliott Bay on Magnolia Bluff, the historic estate overlooks the Seattle skyline, the Space Needle, Elliott Bay, and on a clear day, Mount Rainier. It is difficult to imagine another venue that captures so much of the Pacific Northwest in one view.
What makes The Admiral's House so remarkable is not simply its location. It is the feeling of standing in a place that has witnessed decades of history while beginning a new story of your own.
A Home Built for Gathering
Long before it became one of Seattle's most sought after wedding venues, The Admiral's House served as the residence for the commanding admirals of the Thirteenth Naval District.
Built in 1944, the home welcomed military leaders, foreign dignitaries, and even royalty over the course of its history. Today, it remains listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to host celebrations that bring people together in a very different way.
There is something fitting about beginning a marriage in a home that has always been centered around hospitality. While its purpose has changed over the years, its heart has remained the same.
